About Jasper

Meet Jasper, the handsome Aussie Doodle looking for his forever home! Jasper is 3.5 years old and has that classic Aussie personality: smart, playful, attentive, and ready for something to do. He is house trained, potty trained, dog-door trained, leash trained, and does well with people, kids, and other dogs. He knows some basic commands and is a good boy in his crate. He has also done well when left out of his crate without being destructive. Jasper loves to play fetch and would thrive with a family that can give him structure, exercise, and daily walks. He is a smart guy who would really benefit from continued training and activities that challenge his mind. This is not a dog who just needs a backyard and a food bowl. He wants to be part of your life, spend time with his people, and have a job to do, even if that job is simply keeping you entertained. And for all that Aussie intelligence and energy, Jasper has a very affectionate side. He loves touch, attention, and being close to his people. He would appreciate a home where someone is around more often than not and has time to include him in everyday life. Jasper will require regular grooming. He does reasonably well for the groomer, although having his feet handled is not his favorite thing. His coat currently has some staining and breakage from a previous flea infestation, which has been brought under control since his surrender. With continued care and grooming, we hope his coat will improve over time. Jasper has so much potential to be an incredible companion for someone who understands the Aussie side of an Aussie Doodle. Give him some exercise, a little mental stimulation, plenty of affection, and a place to belong, and you could have one amazing best friend.
