%9D%A4%8F **Looking for a Loving, Patient Home for a Special Dog** %90%BE He is about 5 years old. We are hoping to find a loving, understanding home for a sweet boy who deserves the right environment to feel safe and thrive. He came to live with us nearly two years ago when my son adopted him from a shelter and brought him into our home. Unfortunately, my son will soon be moving out of state and cannot take him along. As much as we care about this dog, our current family circumstances make it difficult for us to continue caring for him, so we are doing everything we can to find the right home. **A little about him:** %9D%A4%8F He is loving, affectionate, and very gentle with the people he knows and trusts. He is protective of his family and home, and he has a sweet side that really shines once he feels comfortable with his people. He generally ignores children and has never hurt a child. **What he needs in a home:** He can be wary and reactive toward unfamiliar men. In the past, he has behaved aggressively toward my son-in-law and a few other men. Although he has become more comfortable with some people over time, this behavior needs to be taken seriously. He has also lunged aggressively toward my son-in-law when children were present. For this reason, we believe a home with patient adults, ideally without children, would be the best fit. A calm, experienced adopter who understands canine behavior and is willing to give him time, space, and appropriate guidance would be ideal. He may bark at visitors and needs time to become comfortable with new people. He is not a dog who will necessarily warm up to everyone right away, but he can form loving bonds with the people he trusts. This decision has not been easy. We want to find him a home where his needs are understood, where everyone feels safe, and where he can be loved for the sweet companion he is with his family. **If you or someone you know might be the right fit, please reach out.** We would love to talk, answer questions honestly, and help find the best possible match for him. Our priority is his well-being and finding him a safe, loving, permanent home. %90%BE%9D%A4%8F He will come with his crate, bed, and food to start him off.
