About 'RED'

HELP!!! X URGENT- Riverside County Shelter, San Jacinto location, So Cal - ID #A1941770- 'RED'- CALM AND FRIENDLY CHOW BOY IN NEED OF A GOOD HOME OR FOSTER AND RESCUE AT GREAT RISK IN HIGH KILL SHELTER, AVAILABLE TO ADOPT, BUT SHELTER IS OVERFULL and EUTHANIZING ADOPTABLE DOGS. WE ARE THEREFORE ALSO DESPERATELY LOOKING FOR A FOSTER AND RESCUE TO SAVE HIS LIFE BEFORE HIS TIME IS UP. RESCUES NEED FOSTERS TO HELP! Dear 'Red' was found as a stray, and no one ever reclaimed this very handsome guy. He is said to be 5 years young and weighs only 41 lbs, but is noted as being underweight and was possibly starving while roaming. We have nice videos showing him friendly, calm and sweet. Shelter notes state: 10/16/26 10:01 Upon approach, dog was towards front of kennel, loose and wiggly, soliciting attention from handler. No kennel mates at time of observation. 10/17/26 15:30 Upon approach, dog was towards front of kennel, when handler opened kennel door dog moves to back of kennel then comes forward mouth closed will sniff handlers hand but backs up if handler tries to pet. dog would not take treats from handler. dog is kenneled alone at this time. This handsome boy deserves so much more than a shelter kennel. He deserves a family who will appreciate his kind heart, spoil him with love, and give him the happy life he's been waiting for. With the shelter so full, even wonderful dogs like Red can be overlooked. We don't want this sweet boy to become just another face in the crowd.
