A rescue helped me get him off the county's e-list. He is around 2 years old, amazing with us, extremely smart, the reason he was on the e-list was that he growled after being found in an alley with a muzzle on his face, abandoned. He needs a day or two to trust a person. After someone pet him right when they met for the first time, he snapped at them. No injuries happened but after this, the person won't allow him at their house and it's a family member we depend on when it comes to pet sitting. He needs a person who knows how to handle GSD's and is able to give him the training he needs. Although he has been great with my kids, given that he snapped at someone, I believe he would do better with older kids or no kids. He learns commands in minutes and follows his person even to the bathroom. Reactive to stranger dogs but has been amazing with our female GSD after about 10 minutes after a proper introduction. He has valley fever (wasn't on the list), very little cough here and there, otherwise healthy. Please give him a chance. If I can't find a good place for him, they will euthanize him.
