This handsome little piebald Dachshund found himself needing a new home when his family was moving and couldn't take him along. He was advertised for free on Facebook, but thankfully, Sophia's Grace Foundation stepped in and his family agreed to let us bring him into rescue. And what a little treasure he turned out to be! Dexter is quite possibly one of the happiest, sweetest, most easygoing little guys you'll ever meet! He has never met a stranger, whether they have two legs or four! He gets along beautifully with people, dogs, and even cats. He's simply a social butterfly wrapped up in an adorable little Dachshund body! This charming gentleman loves getting out and about. He's wonderful on a leash, enjoys his daily walks, and has even accompanied his foster family to softball games, where he happily soaked up all the excitement. He's the kind of dog who is just thrilled to be included in whatever his people are doing! But don't let his social calendar fool you. Cowboy is also a professional snuggler! �ٴ� He loves burrowing under blankets, curling up beside his favorite humans, and sneaking under the covers at bedtime. If you're looking for a little four-legged bed warmer, Dexter is more than happy to volunteer! Dexter is house-trained, although he may do a little marking when first settling into unfamiliar surroundings. With patience, consistency, and time to adjust, he'll have the opportunity to learn the routine in his new home. At 8 years young, Dexter has that wonderful combination of playful enthusiasm and laid-back charm. He's looking for an active, loving family who will include him in their adventures, spoil him with affection, and give him the security of a forever home. Cowboy has already had one family ride off without him.
