Introducing Miss Marple, the very dedicated momma of our Detectives litter. She will be ready to find her forever home in early November once she's recovered from her recent spay. Marple and her kittens came to us from another rescue that was over capacity. When she was first surrendered, she was pretty worn down from being pregnant and not receiving proper care. She had a patchy coat and little energy, you could feel her spine and hips, she had chronic diarrhea and mastitis. With proper care and good nutrition, she has become sleek, quite active, and playful. She's estimated to be about 3 years old so has many years of time to love her new family. Miss Marple did a great job raising her five boys, and now that they've all been adopted, it's her turn to shine. She is a beautiful, sleek, black house panther, with a little notch in one ear and white spots on her chest, between her front legs, and on her belly. We don't know much of anything about Miss Marple's history except that she was surrendered by a family that had too many cats. She's an easily startled girl so we suspect that she may not have had the nicest upbringing. She really likes a quiet environment that's free from much activity and noise. She wont be the right fit for an active household or one with children, but if you are a single person or quiet couple who have a calm home, Marple might be perfect for you. Once she settles in she likes to hang out with her person, sleep on the bed, and purr up a storm! Despite her slightly nervous nature, you can easily befriend Miss Marple with a few treats, as she adores her food and snacks. She'll even try to mooch people food if she can get close to you while you're cooking or having your own meal. She'll let you pick her up and carry her and is easy to handle, never showing any signs of aggression. She's also good with other cats that have a friendly approach and respect for boundaries. Since she is young and playful, Marple will do very well with another easy going cat that would like to be her friend. She also loves to chase balls and play with wand toys, so she's quite interactive with people too. Marple would prefer to go to a home without children or dogs.
