TWILIGHT - SEVEN YEARS YOUNG, WITH A HEART FULL OF LOVE! Black Labrador Retriever, Female, 7 Years Old, 67 lbs. Location: Friends of Upland Animal Shelter, Upland, California. Animal ID: IEPA-A-20312. At the shelter since: September 29, 2026. MEET TWILIGHT - A LOVING HEART WITH A YOUTHFUL SPIRIT! Who says growing older means slowing down? Certainly not Twilight! At 7 years young, this beautiful Black Labrador Retriever has the enthusiasm of a younger dog, the intelligence of a mature companion, and a heart full of affection just waiting to be shared. Twilight is described as sweet, friendly, confident, and wonderfully affectionate. She loves human attention and enjoys hugs, gentle pets, and praise. Spending time with people seems to be one of her greatest pleasures. And although she's seven years old, Twilight still has a playful, youthful personality that makes her especially endearing. She's a lovely reminder that age is just a number, especially when there's still so much life to enjoy and so much love to give. SMART, SWEET, AND EAGER TO LEARN! Twilight isn't just a beautiful face! She's an intelligent girl who already knows basic commands, including 'sit' and 'shake.' She also walks nicely on a leash, making her a promising companion for daily walks and outdoor adventures. She's eager to learn, enjoys praise, and responds well to guidance. Sometimes her enthusiasm gets the better of her, and she may jump up when greeting people. But her excitement is described as gentle, and with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, she can continue improving her manners. Twilight already has a wonderful foundation. All she needs is someone willing to help her build on it. WHAT KIND OF HOME WOULD BE BEST FOR TWILIGHT? Twilight would love a family that appreciates an affectionate, enthusiastic companion and enjoys spending quality time with their dog. Her ideal home would offer: Plenty of affection, attention, and companionship. Regular walks, exercise, and opportunities to explore. Continued training using patience and positive reinforcement. A household with children ages 13 and older, as recommended by the shelter. Careful consideration of other household pets, since Twilight has not yet been tested with dogs or cats. Most importantly, Twilight needs people who will appreciate her loving nature, enjoy her playful spirit, and give her the security of a permanent home. THE BEAUTY OF A SECOND CHAPTER: There's something special about adopting a mature dog. They're no longer puppies, but they still have adventures to experience, friendships to make, lessons to learn, and countless moments of happiness to share. Twilight doesn't need to be the youngest dog in the shelter to deserve someone's attention. She doesn't need to know a hundred tricks or have perfect manners. She simply needs someone willing to see the wonderful companion she could become. Someone who will appreciate her affection, encourage her intelligence, smile at her enthusiasm, and give her a place where she truly belongs. Because a dog's most beautiful years aren't necessarily the first ones. Sometimes, they're the years spent being truly loved. COULD YOU BE TWILIGHT'S FOREVER PERSON? Imagine coming home to a beautiful black Labrador who is genuinely happy to see you. A companion for peaceful walks, quiet afternoons, playful moments, and the simple everyday joys that make sharing life with a dog so special. Twilight is ready for the opportunity to begin a new chapter. Perhaps that chapter includes you. TWILIGHT - THE SUN MAY BE SETTING, BUT HER LOVE STORY IS JUST BEGINNING!
