Penelope is a big fan of car rides, playtime, and being included in the fun! She's a joyful, confident, playful girl who loves to run hard, play big, and enjoy life to the fullest. She gets along well with other dogs, but she prefers friends with easygoing personalities who won't push her around. A confident, playful canine companion could be a great match, but Penelope could also shine as your one-and-only with doggie friends for playdates. Penelope may take a little time to warm up to new people. She needs a family willing to be patient, respect her boundaries, and let trust grow at her own pace. But once you've earned her heart, you'll discover a much softer side of this spirited girl. Hugs, belly rubs, and kisses? Yes, please! Her love is worth the wait. She currently lives successfully with a 412-year-old child and has experience living around cats. Cats can be exciting, especially when they run, so her future family will need to manage introductions and supervise thoughtfully to keep everyone safe. Penelope is also a pretty good houseguest! She's quiet in her kennel, although she doesn't necessarily need one, and she hasn't been destructive when left alone. She takes tasty treats like cheese and salami with a wonderfully gentle mouth. She does have one little diva rule: when enjoying an extra-special bone, she prefers to have her own space. Once the chewing is over, so is the concern! Penelope is ready for her next chapter.
