Meet Rex! Your Future Best Friend Comes With a Few Tricks! Rex is a 5-month-old yellow Lab mix weighing 30 pounds, and this boy is already showing off some impressive skills! He's one smart puppy who clearly believes in getting a head start on his education. Rex knows how to sit, shake, and lie down, and he walks nicely on a leash. While some puppies are still trying to figure out which end of the leash they're supposed to follow, Rex is already making his foster family look good! He's also potty trained and will bark to let you know when he needs to go outside. Apparently, Rex believes communication is important in a successful relationship. He's got the basics covered, and he's ready to keep learning. When he's not busy demonstrating his intelligence, Rex is all puppy! He loves playing tug-of-war and fetch, and he gets along well with both dogs and cats. He'd enjoy a family that has time for play, training, adventures, and all the fun that comes with raising a young dog. Rex came to Fur Fun Rescue as a local owner surrender. His owner was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer, and caring for a puppy was simply too much to manage. It was a difficult decision, but Rex is now looking for a family who can give him the time and attention he deserves. A physically fenced yard would be wonderful for Rex, giving him a safe place to run, play fetch, and burn off some of that puppy energy. At just 5 months old, Rex has so much potential. He's smart, playful, good with other animals, and already working hard on his good-dog r̩sum̩. With continued training, love, and consistency, he's going to make someone a terrific companion. Rex is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Apply to meet Rex at www.furfunrescue.org If you have questions, you can email [email protected] or call 319-929-6657. Adopters must be within a two-hour drive of Cedar Rapids, IA. Rex is looking for an indoor home. Adoption fee $300.
