About Max

This sweet boy was rescued from an abusive and neglected situation, but he cannot stay where he is and needs a forever home. Max is housetrained and generally well behaved. He needs someone that knows how to handle German Shepherds, is calm, and patient. Once he knows he is safe he loves to play ball and have his ears scratched. He needs to get on a more regular diet - he has some lingering g.i. issues after being rescued initially. He's only displayed aggression when a person he's bonded with was verbally and physically threatened by another person. Unknown how he does with small children or cats, but does well with teens and adults and other dogs.
