Cash had a rough start and came to rescue at a tiny 11 lbs, but with good care and lots of love, he has blossomed into a thriving, healthy 30-pound bundle of joy. He is active, playful, full of fun puppy energy, and never says no to a good chew toy. �٩� Medical Note: Cash had an Echocardiogram at Ohio state due to the murmur found. This is an ultrasound of the heart used to evaluate heart size and function. Mildly increased velocity (speed) of blood through the aorta with no structural evidence of aortic valve thickening or valve dysplasia; this is the likely source of the murmur we hear. Cash was noted to have trivial regurgitation of his mitral valve with a small amount of systolic anterior motion of the mitral valve. A small amount of tricuspid valve regurgitation with a normal valve appearance was noted, which may be physiologic. ECG revealed normal heart rate and rhythm. No evidence of a patent ductus arteriosis (pda) or other significant congenital heart defect at this time. He will need a recheck in 5 months at a cardiologist and a repeat echo.
