About CHAUNCY

FEW 80-LB PITS CAN HOLD A CANDLE TO CHAUNCY, a sweet, 6-year-old dog-friendly boy who deserves a second chance in life. Chauncy was surrendered to a California shelter in the summer of 2026 because his owners could not afford medical treatment. The shelter took Chauncy in and repaired the 'paraphimosis' successfully, but after two months at the shelter, Chauncy became urgent for lack of space, and because he cried daily in his kennel. Thankfully we were able to rescue him, after the shelter begged for someone to help. Chauncy is a calm and quiet dog. He loves human attention and affection, and he does well with other dogs. He also tested well with cats! (we have videos). He is not good with livestock. He is currently in Southern California, but can be transported to you in Northern Cal.
