About Harper

Help Harper find the right home! Harper came into my care after a client was no longer able to care for her. She's only one year old, with her whole life ahead of her, and I'm hoping to find someone who has the time, energy, and resources to give her what she needs. Harper is a very active girl who loves walks, hikes, and being outside. She would be a great match for someone who enjoys getting outdoors and wants a dog to share those adventures with. We're working on obedience, and her new person will need to continue that training with patience and consistency. I also want to be honest about her challenges: Harper has shown resource guarding around the other female dogs in my home. I haven't seen those same issues with the males so far, but that isn't a guarantee that she would do well with another dog. A home where she can be the only dog would likely be her best fit. Her adopter should be prepared to address this thoughtfully, including getting support from a qualified trainer rather than expecting her to simply grow out of it. Harper has so much life ahead of her. My priority is finding a home that understands both her energy and her needs-not rushing her into a placement.
