Astrid was born November 2022, raised alongside our young kids. She is huge but thinks she is a lap dog. She tolerates children but doesn't prefer to be bothered by them, is very loving toward adults. After an accident left her with a broken shoulder when she was just under a year old we noticed she started showing some signs of anxiety, pacing, panting and resource guarding. She will lash out at our chickens, cats and has gotten into a fight with our other dog. Having to separate her from the rest of the animals ends up creating an imbalance of how much time we'd like to spend with her versus how much time we are able to. She would do beautifully in a household where she can snuggle up near someone at least several hours a day, have a large space to run and is the only pet. She loves to play fetch, go camping or anything with her people outdoors (besides swimming!) and her favorite snack is apples.
