About Cooper

This is Cooper. He was abandoned near my home in April 2026. A neighbor took him in at the time. However, they have began looking to re-home him or considering euthanizing him. He is an inside dog that loves the outside. He is about 2 years old according to the vet and is up to date on all of his shots, has been treated with NextGuard for flea and ticks, and has no health concerns. He is so playful and has a great temperament. He is a puppy and is in his chewing stage though focuses on chew toys, so definitely a note for whoever adopts. He is mostly lab, but we think he may also be mixed with fox hound so definitely lots of energy! He's had a rough year this year after being abandoned and essentially left for dead in the heat in the late spring. He is making a full recovery and learning that he is safe around the right people. He has recently started learning basic commands like sit, 'down' (for lay down), and 'come' (for come here). He seems very curious and eager to learn. He desperately needs a family to love him and give him the time he deserves to feel safe and like he has found his forever home.
