About Gus

American Staffordshire Terrier / Pit Bull

Age: Adult

Sex: Male

URGENT! GUS IS ON THE EUTHANASIA LIST - HE MUST BE SAVED BY OCTOBER 13 AT 4 PM! Please read! Gus (A292200) is a 7-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix weighing 70 pounds. He has been waiting at the shelter since July 2026, and now his life is in danger. PLEASE DON'T LET GUS DIE! HE DESERVES TO LIVE! Gus is such a sweet, well-mannered boy who has so much love to give. He walks beautifully on a leash, knows commands like sit, lay down, and shake, and takes treats gently. He absolutely loves his stuffed toys and enjoys carrying his favorite things around in his mouth. The person who found Gus reported that he was friendly with large dogs and older children or teenagers. He was also reportedly housebroken, used a doggy door, and could be left alone without being destructive. Gus has so many wonderful qualities that someone would love in a companion. Yet he has spent months waiting behind shelter walls, hoping someone would choose him. Sadly, the stress of living in a kennel is taking its toll. Gus desperately needs a loving, patient home where he can decompress, feel safe, and finally relax. Gus has already lost months of his life waiting for a family. Please don't let him lose his life, too. At 7 years old, Gus deserves a comfortable bed, a family who loves him, his favorite stuffed toys, and the chance to enjoy the years he has left. TIME IS RUNNING OUT! GUS MUST BE OUT OF THE SHELTER BY OCTOBER 13, 2026, AT 4 PM! Gus is available for adoption or rescue transfer. Please consider opening your heart and home to this deserving boy before it's too late. For more information about Gus, please contact the shelter directly.
