SPECIAL NEEDS Rudy arrived into rescue when his aging owner could no longer care for him. He is not used to a lot of hands on attention, but it's necessary now that he has had so much eye trouble. He somehow punctured both eyes while in the process of treating his eye infection. He ultimately had to lose both his eyes. As unfortunate as this accident has been, it has brought us closer. Rudy will make someone a good family pet. He even sits in my lap on occasion. We think older children would be best, as he can be a bit temperamental. He likes both men and women. He is dog/cat friendly, as long as nobody gets into his pen. He is becoming more lenient with sharing his space with respectful kitties. He is crate trained, but territorial of his crate once he is in it. His potty training is perfected, as he will bark when he wants to go out. He will require a home that is clutter-free, none or very few stairs, fenced yard or an outdoor kennel where he can enjoy some mild days.
