About Maxwell Edison

I found Max on Wednesday 10/7/2026 wandering the parking lot at my workplace in Katy, TX. He had no collar, NO microchip, and had no other forms of identification. Attempts to reach previous owners via facebook groups and neighborhood groups were unsuccessful. I took him to VCA Kelliwood Animal Hospital on 10/8/2026 for a wellness check-up and initial treatment for his skin. He was given a Rabies vaccine, was determined to have fleas, and diagnosed with a flea-related allergy and likely secondary skin infection. Tests for mange, ringworm, and heartworms all came back negative. He is neutered. The vet prescribed him an oral antibiotic, an oral steroid, special shampoo, and provided the first round of Simparico Trio for flea and heartworm prevention. Regarding his personality and temperament, Max is a sweet and gentle good boy! He is comfortable around adults (both men and women), including strangers. He enjoys being pet. I have not seen him interact with children or other animals, but he is not reactive. I have not heard him bark once. He will occasionally whimper, especially if needing to go potty or if his 'safe people' leave the room but he will calm down quickly. He does well in a collar and on a leash. He did great when given a bath. He stayed calm, stood still, and was cooperative. He is currently sleeping in a crate, and he is adjusting beautifully. He sleeps soundly all night. He appears to be house trained. He walks over to me or the door when needing to go outside, has not had any accidents, has not scratched or destroyed anything, and is generally very well-behaved. He is eating and drinking normally. He is a very good boy and deserves a wonderful, loving home!
