sURGENT: YOSHI NEEDS HIS PERSON BY NOVEMBER! %9D%A4%8F%90%BE Meet Yoshi - a handsome, almost 1-year-old, 50-pound boy with a huge heart, incredible potential, and a future that depends on finding the right person to believe in him. Yoshi's next chapter is about to begin. He has an opportunity to attend a fully funded, specialized board-and-train program in late October that could help him build confidence and learn to feel more comfortable in the world around him. Yoshi needs a committed adopter - or a foster-to-adopt home - ready to give him a chance. His placement is urgently needed by early to mid-November, when his training program ends. We want him to have a safe, loving home waiting for him. Yoshi is playful, energetic, incredibly smart, and eager to learn. He loves fetch, running, walks, backyard adventures, treats, indoor playtime, and showing off his impressive agility skills. Jumping onto rocks and walls? That's one of his specialties! After an adventure-filled day, Yoshi is also happy to settle down and relax with the people he knows and loves. He has already graduated from puppy training, and his current family has invested countless hours in helping him learn and grow. He has so much going for him: intelligence, athleticism, trainability, and the ability to form meaningful bonds with his trusted people. Yoshi isn't a lost cause. He's a dog who needs the right environment and someone willing to help him succeed. WHY YOSHI NEEDS A NEW BEGINNING Yoshi struggles with unfamiliar people and other dogs. Because he missed important socialization experiences early in life, new people can feel frightening and overwhelming to him. In a busy home with young children, his anxiety has become difficult for him to manage. But when Yoshi is with people he trusts in a calm, predictable environment, he can relax and enjoy life. His fear around strangers is a challenge that needs to be taken seriously, but it is not the only thing that defines him. Recently, a behavior-focused trainer evaluated Yoshi. He was receptive to working for treats and demonstrating the skills he knows, although the presence of someone new clearly made him uncomfortable. Yoshi needs patience, consistency, positive guidance, and time to build trust - not pressure to move faster than he is ready for. %90%BE A RARE OPPORTUNITY TO HELP YOSHI SUCCEED In late October, Yoshi is scheduled to attend a fully funded resident board-and-train program designed to help him develop important skills and build confidence. His future adopter will have the opportunity to work alongside his training team and continue supporting his progress. Even better, finding his person now means Yoshi can begin building a relationship with the person who will be there for him after training. A foster-to-adopt arrangement may also be possible. This is an opportunity to give Yoshi something truly life-changing: a fresh start, a plan, and a person committed to helping him move forward. The training opportunity is coming. Now we need to find the person who will help make the progress last. %8F IS YOUR HOME RIGHT FOR YOSHI? Yoshi needs a special placement with someone who understands that trust takes time. His ideal home would have: * Adults only - no children. * A single-family home with a calm, predictable environment. * No other pets at this time, although his comfort around other dogs may be reassessed following training. * An experienced, patient adopter, ideally familiar with bully breeds or fearful and anxious dogs. * A willingness to work closely with his trainer and continue his behavior plan. * A consistent daily routine, along with plenty of exercise, enrichment, play, and affection. * The understanding that Yoshi must be allowed to settle in at his own pace. Someone who can see beyond his fear when he feels uncertain and recognize the intelligent, funny, athletic, affectionate dog underneath. Someone who will celebrate small victories, respect his boundaries, and give him the time he needs to feel safe. Someone who understands that helping a fearful dog build confidence is a journey - and that the little steps forward can mean everything. Yoshi has already worked hard. His family has worked hard. Now, as he prepares for this next opportunity, he needs someone willing to take the next step with him. Please don't overlook Yoshi because he needs extra help. For the right person, this could be the beginning of an incredibly meaningful journey - one built on patience, trust, progress, and a bond earned over time. But we cannot wait until his training is over to start looking. His next home needs to be lined up now. This is a home-to-home adoption, allowing interested adopters to speak directly with Yoshi's current owner and learn more about his needs. For more info, please contact [email protected]. Please mention ARK sent you! If you cannot adopt, please share Yoshi's story. The person he needs may be one share away.
