MEET CHEWIE! Age: 9�%BD years old Breed: Papillon/Maltese Mix Sex: Male Adoption Fee: $40 This boy is so tiny! Chewie is a sweet little senior whose owner passed away. Family members tried to take him in, but their busy household was overwhelming for him, and he ended up at the shelter. Although he was scared when he first arrived, with a little time and patience, Chewie has been nothing but loving with us volunteers! He enjoys spending time with us, loves going on walks and being outside, and has even done well with another small, respectful shelter dog. What to know about Chewie: Needs a quiet, adult-only home with NO children. Has a history of biting people and other animals when frightened, but has not bitten shelter volunteers or shown that behavior with us. Needs a patient owner who understands fearful dogs and will give him the time he needs to adjust. Has done well with a small shelter dog, but any other pets would need careful evaluation. Uses potty pads. Needs someone prepared for senior veterinary care, including a possible dental. Chewie has so much love to give! He just needs the right person who will give him a peaceful home and time to adjust.
