About Ghost

URGENT! GHOST NEEDS A NEW FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME Please don't scroll past Ghost. Ghost is an 8-year-old American Bulldog mix. He has been through more than any dog should ever have to endure. And now, after everything he has survived, he needs someone to show him what it truly means to be safe, loved, and home. Ghost lived outside, exposed to the brutal elements. He endured the scorching heat of summer and the bitter cold of winter. He had to navigate a dangerous world without sight, somehow learning his surroundings well enough to survive. And while he was blind, he still managed to evade coyotes and predators that could have easily taken his life. Think about that for a moment. A dog who couldn't see the world around him. A dog who lived outside without the safety of a home. A dog who was in pain. A dog who had every reason to be frightened. And yet Ghost survived. He didn't just survive. He remained loving. He remained gentle.He still wanted to trust. He still wanted to love. And he still has so much love to give. Now Ghost needs us again. His temporary foster is moving soon, and Ghost urgently needs a new foster home or, even better, a forever family. Ghost has survived cancer. He had his right eye removed, and the growths near his private area were also removed. He has healed beautifully and is doing well. His biopsy showed that the growths were malignant and sun-induced, which means there is a possibility they could return if he is exposed to the sun. Ghost needs to remain protected from the sun for the rest of his life. Keeping him primarily indoors and limiting sun exposure can help reduce the risk of the growths returning and give him the best opportunity for more happy, healthy days. And despite everything he has been through, Ghost is happy. His appetite is strong. He is housebroken. He has great house manners. He has learned to navigate his home with ease. And he is the sweetest, most loving boy. One of his favorite things is giving you his paw. It's the sweetest little gesture as if he's saying, 'I trust you.' And Ghost is AMAZING. We are looking for that very special person who will look beyond his past and see the beautiful soul he is. Someone who will say: 'Ghost, you're home. You don't have to be afraid anymore.' He has spent enough of his life surviving.Now it's his turn to live. It's his turn to sleep safely inside. It's his turn to wake up knowing he is loved. It's his turn to have someone by his side. It's his turn to know what a forever home feels like. He has been through so much. Please don't let the rest of his story be spent waiting. If you can foster Ghost, we desperately need you.
