I'm reaching out because we urgently need help finding a safe, appropriate rescue placement for a young female red-nose Pit Bull who was rescued from an abusive home. She is approximately 1 year old and is an incredibly sweet, loving dog who really deserves a safe and stable home. She loves people and absolutely loves children. She is very affectionate, loves cuddles, and enjoys going on walks. She walks very well on a leash and, even when there are other dogs around, she has not shown much reactivity while walking. She seems to do very well with male dogs and genuinely enjoys being around them. We believe she may also be able to do well with female dogs with a proper, slow introduction, but we don't want to make assumptions because we haven't had enough opportunity to properly assess that. We also don't know how she does with cats or other animals, so we would want that evaluated by someone experienced with her breed and background. She came from an abusive situation where the previous owner needed to get rid of her very quickly. We stepped in because we didn't want her to end up somewhere unsafe, but unfortunately we are not in a position to keep her permanently. Despite what she has been through, she is a very loving dog. She deserves someone who will be patient with her, give her structure, and show her what a safe and loving home is supposed to be.
