About Huck

Our Golden Labrador, Huck (or Huckleberry), is a wonderful 4-year-old good boy who has been part of our family since he was with his own mom. He's great with children, friendly, and easy to love. We're rehoming him because our son left for college, and we no longer have the schedule flexibility to give him the care and attention he deserves (a very hard decision for us). Best dog we've ever had. He's a very chill dog, but he's always up for a run or playtime in the yard with the kids. He likes to chase squirrels (we encourage him to do on our property!), and if he barks at something he's quick to quiet. He's super sweet with kids (young and old), and he loves other dogs. He hasn't been around other animals, but he's friendly w/ everything, so I imagine he'd do well there too. He sheds a little bit (no more than normal), but he doesn't go on couches or steal food. He is crate trained but also stays in the barn in the Summer months. We just want him in a good, loving home.
