About Davidson

Meet Davidson, lovingly called Davie, a 3-year-old Labrador mix who has undergone an incredible transformation in foster care. When Davie first arrived, he was extremely underweight and very timid. But once Davie realized he was safe, a whole new dog began to emerge. Today, Davie is at a healthy weight and has a great appetite. His personality has absolutely blossomed. The once-timid boy who would shut down when he was frightened is now playful, silly, social, and full of personality. He may still need a little patience when adjusting to unfamiliar people or situations, but give him time to feel comfortable and you'll get to see the goofy, happy dog his foster family has fallen in love with. Davie LOVES other dogs. He adores his canine foster siblings and has even found himself a girlfriend in his foster home! Having other confident dogs around has helped him tremendously, and he loves playing, exploring, and simply being part of the pack. A home with a friendly canine companion would be a wonderful fit for him (his housemates are females dogs, but we expect him to be fine with friendly males too). He has also discovered that walks are one of the greatest things ever invented. In fact, Davie has some very strong opinions about anyone going for a walk without him. If he realizes another dog is getting to go and he isn't, he'll give you a full vocal performance to express his disappointment. He isn't barking-he's singing, and apparently everyone needs to hear his feelings on the matter. Watching this sweet boy learn how to be a dog has been incredibly special. He came into foster care frightened and unsure of the world, and now he plays with his friends, gets excited for walks, sings when he feels left out, and lets his goofy personality shine. Davie needs a family who will give him the chance to show them just how far he's come. Davidson is located in Houston, TX, but can be transported to most states for an additional fee of $300.
