About Roo

Have you ever wanted a cryptid of your own? A baby werewolf, perhaps? One who throws her little paws up like a dressage horse when she's excited? Roo is available to fill that gap in your heart! Roo needs a patient adopter who understands timid dogs. She is very nervous around new people and won't show you who she really is during a meet and greet. She requests a calm, quiet home without kids or frequent new people coming over. Roo would love to have a confident dog to learn from and spend time with, but in the absence of that, a human who is around a lot would make her happy, too. Roo hopes to find a person to continue helping her build her confidence (for instance, walking into the garage is very scary, she needs lots of love and encouragement down on the floor as she army crawls towards you). Roo is an older puppy, maybe 8 months old or so. She's worked hard on gaining weight and is up to a whopping 4.7 lbs! Once she gets comfortable, she loves playing with toys (and sometimes shoelaces, if you don't put your shoes away!) She's doing really well overall with potty training but is still a puppy and will have some accidents. Roo is very loving and snuggling is a top priority for her, both with other dogs and with people. She so far hasn't been interested in playing with other dogs, but she loves to be close to them and snuggle. While she would prefer to cuddle with someone, she sleeps quietly in a crate all night in the bedroom.
