About BANDIT

BANDIT is an adorable 18-month-old, 12.7-pound Yorkie mix who came to us in a less-than-usual way. On a stormy night, he and a couple of other dogs were put over the fence into Francine's yard. Despite efforts to locate their owner, no one came forward to claim them. He is ready to put that beginning behind him and find a family of his own. BANDIT is a happy-go-lucky little guy with good energy and a wonderful personality. He is friendly with everyone he meets, loves attention, and absolutely loves being near his person. He is a little shadow who will happily follow you around the house, then settle in for some serious snuggle time. And if you really want to win him over, belly rubs are the way to his heart! BANDIT gets along great with other dogs. He enjoys playing but is respectful of their space and doesn't overwhelm them. We would prefer that he has a friendly dog companion in his new home. He might be ok as an only dog in the right home, but he loves canine companionship and having a buddy would be ideal for him. He has not been cat tested, although he has shown interest in a neighborhood cat and will bark when he sees it. Based on his friendly, easygoing personality, we think he would do well with kids. BANDIT has been doing wonderfully with his potty training. He has not had a single accident in his current foster home and figured out how to use the doggy door within just a couple of hours! He is a smart boy who listens well, understands 'no,' comes when called, and wants to please. A fenced yard is required for BANDIT. He enjoys being outside, and with his energy and curiosity, we want him to have a safe, secure place where he can explore and play. He does very well on a leash and rides well in the car, too, making him an easy little companion to take along on adventures. At bedtime, BANDIT is right where he wants to be, sleeping in the big bed with his person. He may not be a big kisser, but he more than makes up for it with cuddles, belly-rub requests, and his desire to be wherever his person is. BANDIT is a fun, loving, happy little dog who seems to approach life expecting something good to happen. After the way he came to us, we think it's time to make sure it does. �%9D%A4��%8F He is neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, has had a ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. *To meet or adopt one of our dogs, you must first submit an adoption application for review. We adopt within a 6 hour drive to Pensacola. Puppies and dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral or medical issues are only adoptable locally (within 1 hour to Pensacola).
