**URGENT** Perdy is a precious bully girl with a gentle soul who's had a rough go of her first five years on earth. Despite her speckled past, she is unbelievably trusting of people. She's a dog who attaches deeply to her family unit so her next home will need to be her last one to ensure this girl can give you her best. My husband and I board dogs in our home for supplemental income. We adopted her with the knowledge that she was 'great with other dogs' but that quickly proved to not be the case. She seems fine with dogs outside of the home but has resource guarding tendencies inside of the home.Having her with us thus far has been an incredible financial hit to absorb on top of the fees associated with her veterinary care to date and the considerable cost of behavior modification. Unfortunately Perdy was never properly socialized with other dogs, therefore she will need to be a single pet household, although I do believe with patience and behavior mod work, she could certainly integrate into a multi-dog home, but right now a cast of ever-changing dogs coming in and out of our home is simply too much to ask of her. She would be perfect for a single person, couple or family who is willing to do a little work on her leash skills. While she loves her human toddler companion, she would do best with older kids who are a little more predictable and less stumbly, lol! She has been incredibly patient with her little human, but this sweetheart has overcome so much, she needs and deserves a calm, predictable environment she can thrive in. We are currently working with a behaviorist to help rehabilitate her discomfort with other dogs in the home and her leash manners. Perdy has already made unbelievable progress and should continue on that trajectory with her new family. We would love to put you in contact and potentially offer financial assistance for your continued collaboration with the behaviorist we are currently working with virtually. Perdy is currently on a special diet as a facet of our rehabilitation effort. She gets about 1/2 cup dry kibble with the rest being a combination of single protien, vegetables and probiotic to support her gut health. This has been successful thus far. After a 2 week course of Apoquel, we have transitioned her to Zyrtec or Benadryl for allergy symptom management. Please inquire for more information and to schedule a meet and greet. All potential adopters will be screened by the current owner to affirm compatibility.
