About Skylar

Hello Everyone, this is Skylar, she is a 5 year old German Shepard, Anatolian Shepard mix. Skylar's story is a sad one. She was my mother's best friend, but mom for the last year has been frequently in and out of the hospital. My mom passed away May this year, and the last time she left for the hospital, she didn't come back. Skylar has no idea where she went and since then has been scared of her family leaving the house without her. However, she is VERY friendly, always wants to be outside with her family, loves people, and children. We need help re-homing her to a loving house where she can get lots of pets and take lots of runs or walks (She is FAST!) She is great with cats and other dogs if you let her get used to them first, otherwise she's very cautious and defensive around other dogs. When she was a puppy she was bullied by bigger dogs. She is good around cats though and even a little scared of them. She is very afraid of thunder. she been through so many homes she has severe anxiety about being abandoned and needs to be with someone at all times otherwise she will panic and try to escape to find you.
