Meet Nala. Nala is a beautiful and sweet 1yr old female who is looking for her fur-ever home. She is a powerhouse of a dog- intelligent, driven and versatile enough to partner in everything from farm life to active sports. Nala is the perfect combination of high energy and working dog mindset, but she also exhibits a strong desire to please. Nala requires plenty of daily exercise, one on one attention and mental stimulation. Because of her sharp mind and working-dog traits, she might not be a great fit for a beginner dog owner. Even with her high energy though, Nala does have an 'off' switch. Since she has such great potential as a sports dog, running partner, or star competitor in task-oriented events, Nala is looking for an active partner. She is also turning into a great farm dog and behaves respectably around both horses and chickens. Other Dogs and Small Children---Because of occasional enthusiastic jumping, she will thrive best in a home without small children. Nala does well with other dogs her own size or larger who enjoy a good play session. However, her high-octane play style can be a bit overwhelming for small dogs. For her safety and exercise, a home with a fenced yard will be a must. Nala is eager to please and has been started in learning basic manners and obedience. Her ideal adopter will be willing to continue with her training and socialization while offering her leadership with firm boundaries. True to her working nature, Nala is naturally protective of her family and appreciates slow introductions to new people. Nala is 46 lbs. She is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, dewormed and up to date on all vaccines. She is crate trained and has started in house training.
