Nice to meet you, I'm King! ��%90%BE I'm a sweet, energetic Pit Bull mix looking for someone who will give me the chance I deserve. �%9D%A4��%8F I'm a very loving and protective boy, and once I know you're my person, I really love being close to you. I'm definitely a 'velcro dog' I like to follow you around, be right under your feet, and know what you're doing. I have lots of energy and would love a home where I can get plenty of exercise, attention, and patience. One of my favorite things? TOYS! But also Cats! I have always done well with cats and am very affectionate toward them. I currently live around a kitten and absolutely love her I also would visit family and play with their barn cats, so I would say I have a good history with cats. I do have an important behavior that my future home needs to understand I can be very protective and reactive toward men, especially men I don't know. I may bark, growl, or act aggressively because I feel like I need to protect my person. I can be suspicious of unfamiliar people, particularly males, so I need an experienced and responsible owner who understands dog behavior and is willing to work with me through slow introductions, structure, and continued training. Once I know someone and understand that they are part of my family, I can be a completely different dog. I'm a sweet boy who just needs someone who is willing to give me the guidance, consistency, and training I may not have received earlier in life. Unfortunately, my current situation is not one I can stay in. I was originally supposed to be watched for only a few hours, but that turned into several days and now person caring for me is dealing with serious health limitations and is simply not physically able to take care of a strong, energetic dog like me. This is not because I am unwanted or because I am a bad dog it is because the person caring for me can no longer safely meet my needs. I am now at risk of ending up in a shelter situation where I may not get the opportunity to show someone who I really am. I desperately need a rescue, foster, or experienced adopter willing to give me a fair chance. I know I'm not the easiest dog. I'm protective. I'm energetic. I need proper introductions and continued training. But I am also affectionate, loyal, playful, and capable of loving my people deeply. I don't want my story to end simply because I wasn't given the right chance.
