Norma is a smart, affectionate, and spirited girl looking for her perfect forever home. She is a 3 (approximately) year old pitbull mix who we adopted from the shelter about 2 years ago. Norma is a medium-energy dog, who when not snuggling the day away on the couch is ready for an adventure. She lives for balls, bones, and anything that keeps her body and mind busy. She's great in the car and loves quietly watching the world go by before settling in for a nap on road trips. She makes an excellent vacation companion, as she's fully house trained, crate trained, and wonderfully respectful in the home and has never chewed on human possessions. She's incredibly food-motivated, making training fun and rewarding. Norma already knows sit, lay, and paw. She's working hard on loose-leash walking and not jumping when excited, and just needs someone willing to keep practicing with her. Norma is social with other dogs outside of the home and does very well at daycare, especially in toy-free environments where she can focus on play without competition. However, she needs to be the only pet in the household. Norma doesn't share well with other dogs when it comes to her personal space and favorite things (food & toys), which unfortunately is the reason we're seeking a better environment for our girl. She will thrive best in a home where she can be the sole recipient of affection and continued training. If you're looking for a loyal, fun, cuddly companion who brings both energy and sweetness to your life, Norma may be the perfect match. She's ready to be someone's best friend-could that be you?
