Meet Gracie, our sweet 10-year-old Border Collie mix. Gracie came into our lives as a rescue when she was just 1 year old, and she's been a beloved member of our family for the past 10 years. She's 47 lbs., spayed, in great health, and wonderful with children and other dogs. She's had a stable, loving home her entire adult life with 3 children (who are now all out of the house) and is looking for a family who can give her the companionship and attention she deserves in this next chapter. She would do great on a farm or large backyard, as she likes to run, keep watch and surveillance. She's in great health and has no trouble going up and down the stairs of our back deck. This is an incredibly difficult decision for us and is being made only because our work now requires extensive travel and we're away much more than we used to be. Gracie deserves a home where her people are around more consistently, and she can get more exercise and mental stimulation. We're not looking to place her quickly - we're looking for the right home. Ideally, we'd love someone who wants a wonderful, established companion and understands how special it is to give a senior dog a loving home. Even better if they understand Border Collies or other working/herding/intelligent breeds. Gracie is located in Alpharetta, GA (Forsyth County).
