About Vesta

This is incredibly difficult for me to post, but we are looking for the right home for our sweet girl, Vesta. �%9D%A4��%8F Vesta is a little over 3 years old and is a purebred Great Dane. We have had her since she was a puppy, and she is very loved. Unfortunately, due to some significant financial struggles, we have made the heartbreaking decision to try to find her a new family who can give her everything she deserves. Vesta is your typical goofy Great Dane who doesn't seem to realize just how big she is. ���� She is affectionate, playful, energetic, and absolutely loves being with her people. If she could crawl completely into your lap and stay there, she would! She has been raised around children of all ages, large and small dogs, and cats and has done very well with all of them. She would probably love having another dog to play with in her new home. Vesta can be shy and reserved when meeting new people and in unfamiliar situations. Once she feels safe and gets to know you, though, her sweet and silly personality really comes out. Because of this, I want her to go to someone who will be patient with her and understand that she may need a little time to adjust. Experience with Great Danes or giant breeds would be wonderful. She is completely house-trained and kennel-trained. Her kennel is genuinely her safe space, and it WILL go with her to her new home so she has something familiar during the transition. She has not had extensive leash training, so she could use some additional work in that area, but she does pretty well when she is on one. Vesta is spayed and has also had a preventative gastropexy to help reduce the risk of her stomach twisting from GDV/bloat. She is not currently up to date on vaccinations, and I want to be completely upfront about that. We are located in the Knoxville/Maryville, TN area. Most importantly, I am NOT looking to give Vesta to the first person who asks. Finding the right home for her matters far more to me than finding one quickly. I want someone who understands the commitment and expense that comes with owning a Great Dane and who will love her and make her part of their family.
