About Calla

Meet Calla! Calla is a beautiful 6-year-old blue and white Pitbull who arrived at the shelter as a stray on January 13, 2026. Since then, she has become our longest resident - and through all this time, Calla has shown us just how resilient, patient, and deserving she truly is. Despite the long wait, Calla continues to greet each day with hope that her perfect family is just around the corner. Now, she's more than ready to leave shelter life behind and finally have a home of her own. Calla is a girl who knows what she likes, and one of her absolute favorite things is balls! She loves chasing after them and would happily spend her days playing with her favorite toys. Calla is dog selective, so a dog interaction is required before adoption to make sure everyone is comfortable together. She also has a strong prey drive toward cats and will chase them, so she needs a cat-free home. After so many months of waiting, Calla deserves the chance to experience the simple joys of home life - a comfy bed, a family to love, plenty of balls to chase, and someone who will finally show her that her wait was worth it. Could you be the person Calla has been waiting for? Please apply for Calla at https://www.gloucestercountynj.gov/FormCenter/Animal-Shelter-5/PreAdoption-Application-50
