About ACE

Ace is a handsome and sweet fellow in need of a new home. His owner is going through some very difficult times and Ace has been in boarding. His boarder is unable to keep him, and Ace needs to find a home of his own very soon. Name: Ace Age: 4 or 5 years Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier Sex: Male (not neutered) Location: Westchester County/Bronx NY Vet Info: Ace is not neutered. It is believed he is not current with vaccines and has not had a recent heartworm test. He is currently estimated to weigh about 50 pounds. He is not microchipped. Ace's contact tells us he was told Ace has congenital cataracts. He appears fully blind. Dog Info: Ace is an indoor dog confined to one area. He is housebroken and leash trained and his contact tells us Ace likes both the indoors and outdoors. We're told Ace is a friendly fellow, good with people of all ages, and male and female dogs. He has also been around a cat and was very curious and wanted to smell the cat. Ace is not possessive of toys, treats, or food and has never shown aggression. Ace's contact believes Ace adjusts well to new situations despite his blindness, but it may take some time. He tells us that Ace potty trained quickly and loved having an open crate so that he could go in and out on his own. He's been around many different people and has done well with all of them. He also enjoys the car. Other than his vision, Ace appears healthy, but may be allergic to chicken. Ace's contact tells us, 'Ace is a real sweet dog.
