PLEASE HELP ME SAVE HER!!! Middletown, Ohio. (willing to drive up to 1.5 hours). Approximately 2 Y/O FEMALE WHITE GSD (DOB: Estimated 1/11/24). Her temporary name is 'Oogie'. Background: Current Shepherd Parent has had Oogie for about one month. Oogie was found dumped and severely malnourished and was rescued by her Current Shepherd Parent, who has been mending her back to good health. Unknown if UTD on shots WITHOUT record. NOT Fixed. Good with kids. Oogie currently lives with children ages 7, 8, and 11. Good with dogs. Oogie currently lives with a male Frenchie. Unknown with cats. House trained. Oogie is house trained but sometimes has accidents in the home. This is very common with dogs who have experienced trauma. Crate trained: A work in progress. Oogie does sleep overnight in her crate sometimes. Any known medical issues?: No known medical issues disclosed. Abuse/Neglect/Trauma History?: Oogie was found dumped and severely malnourished. She is currently being mended back to good health. She does show signs of Food Resource Guarding, which is understandable given that she was previously starved. ENERGY LEVEL: High. (ALWAYS USE PROPER INTRODUCTION!): Yes. Oogie can be vocal when meeting new people. Loves: Playing soccer with kids, cuddling, walks, chilling on the couch, playing with kids, playing with dogs, balls, sleeping in bed with her person, being near her person, and chew bones. *Intelligent and knows Basic Commands?: This breed is super intelligent. *Good Recall? (ALWAYS RETRAIN BEFORE ALLOWING OFF LEASH): Yes. *Good on a Leash?: No. Oogie needs continued leash work and training. *Lovable?: This breed is super lovable once they claim you as their person/family. *Eager and fast learner?: This breed is super fast learners when they are being committed to and worked with. Bite History?: UNKNOWN. NOTES FROM CURRENT SHEPHERD PARENT: 'In the short time we have had her, she is protective of me and my children. She loves love and to play. Unfortunately, she is not able to keep her because of her landlord's policy and is risking eviction. Oogie needs to find her Furever Home ASAP. She will be a great companion for the right person. She needs someone who is willing to patiently work with her through her Resource Guarding issues.
