About MISSY

Still waiting for a loving hospice adopter to come along'| Video here: https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1DvZbVtXzy/?mibextid=wwXIfr Heartbreakingly, after losing her loving owners to Alzheimer's and passing away, MISSY finds herself in her in need of a forever/hospice. adopter. She has a condition called protein-loss enteropathy as well as early stage kidney disease. While she is not in pain, she does drink and urinate frequently (often accidents in the house), and unfortunately it's not curable. She is on a prescription kidney diet, fish oil and blood pressure meds. She is just the sweetest thing, and again the vet does not believe she is in any pain. Meet MISSY! MISSY is a beautiful senior Yorkie/Dachshund mix who is 11 years old and weighs around 18 lbs. MISSY came from a loving home of two senior citizens, one of whom has advanced Alzheimer's. Tragically, the husband passed away and the wife who suffers from Alzheimer's did not realize it until days later when a visitor came over. A kind, selfless neighbor stepped up for MISSY to be sure she would be safe and cared for while she searched for rescue help. While MISSY has experienced the heartbreaking loss of the only family she is always known'|she has also had many angels in her corner. She is now safe and sound in foster care, is freshly groomed and has received all the medical care needed in order to make her available for adoption and ready to find a forever home to cherish her. MISSY is low-key, friendly with all people and is great with other dogs. She has settled in flawlessly into foster care. We think a nice calm household would suit her best as that is what she's accustomed to, but she is very adaptable and is overall a very happy girl! Located in private foster in CT. Spayed/Vaccinated For an application, go to www.murphyspaw.org/adoption-form * Approved application is required prior to setting up meet and greet. Please call your vet ahead of time!
