Name: Lucky Age: 11 years Breed: Bichon/Poodle mix, 11 pounds Sex: Male (neutered) Location: Santa Clara County, California Sweet adorable Lucky needs a new home, his senior owner is no longer able to physically care for him. Vet Info: Lucky has two detached retinas. The left eye does react to some light but he is essentially blind. Lucky has most likely been blind in his right eye for quite some time but the left eye has been a very recent development. Lucky is up to date on his vaccinations and HW-. He has been neutered and is microchipped. Lucky has had a history of dental disease and most of his teeth has been pulled. He does best on soft food. Otherwise, he is in good health. Dog Info: Owner has had Lucky since he was adopted from the shelter at seven weeks old. They are absolutely devastated to no longer be able to care for Lucky but they are unable to take him outside and it is very difficult to even pick him up. Lucky was trained to use a dog door but hasn't quite managed to use it now that he is blind. Lucky is very much loved and that is why owner feels that he should be in a home where he can be cared for. Lucky is an indoor dog with the run of the house. He is housebroken and leash trained. He knows the commands, come, sit, down, shake and stay. He is an outgoing boy that is good with men, women, children of all ages and both male and female dogs. Although owner does not have any other pets, he does very well with family members dogs. He is friendly and well behaved around them. Lucky has never been exposed to cats. Lucky has never been possessive with treats, toys or food and has never shown any sort of aggression to any person or animal. **Owner Surrender Disclaimer: These are blind and visually impaired dogs who are living in homes, but their owners can no longer keep them.
