About BETSY

BDRA is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) charity that accepts no fees when helping individuals or other rescues. 100% of donations go directly to the care of the animals. If you'd like to help us continue our mission, please donate at: https://www.blinddogrescue.org/donate-1. Name: Betsy Age: Possibly @7 years Breed: Boxer, @40 pounds estimated Sex: Female (spayed) Location: Marlboro County, South Carolina Betsy is a stray that was recently taken in by a Good Samaritan. She needs a forever home. Vet Info: Betsy has not been vetted but County Humane has gotten her up to date on her vaccinations. She appears to have been spayed, has no microchip and appears to be blind and malnourished. GS states that her ears and tail are very hard like she has had untreated infections in the past. Dog Info: Betsy has been with the Good Samaritan for a very short time so not a lot is known about her. She is an indoor dog who is crated, housebroken and leash trained. She does know the command, come here. Betsy is outgoing, good with men, women and children of all ages. She is good with male and female dogs. There are no cats in the home so it is unknown how she is with cats. Betsy has not been possessive with treats, toys or food and has not shown any aggression at all. GS states that she has been a sweetheart to all the people and dogs in the home, including another stray that they brought in after Betsy. GS states that Betsy doesn't mind being in the crate at all and enjoys naps. **Owner Surrender Disclaimer: These are blind and visually impaired dogs who are living in homes, but their owners can no longer keep them.
