About Hugo

Hugo is a 3-year-old German Shepherd with a heart of gold. He is exceptionally sweet, deeply affectionate, and brings a joyful, playful energy to everything he does. If you love an active companion who is always up for a games or a long walk, he is your guy! Because of a previous rough start in life where he missed out on some early guidance, Hugo still has the fun, carefree spirit of a much younger puppy. He is eager to learn and will do absolute wonders with an adopter who enjoys positive reinforcement training and can channel his bright mind into structured activities. He loves to stay busy and is working on his puppy-like chewing habits, so he will thrive best with an owner who can provide plenty of durable toys, interactive puzzle games, and regular physical exercise. He would be best in a home with a fenced in back yard and possibly have another dog he can play with.
