Meet Llama! He's Made It to Wisconsin and Is Looking for His Forever Home! Llama has made the long journey from Mississippi to Wisconsin with Mutt Life Dog Rescue and is settling into his foster home. This sweet young boy has a whole new world to discover, and he is ready for a fresh start with a family who will give him the time and love he needs to thrive. Meet Llama Llama is part of an owner-surrender/hoarding situation in Mississippi, where his owner had approximately 40 Pomeranian/Chihuahua mixes and could no longer care for them. At just 9 months old, Llama has spent his entire life in an overcrowded environment with many other dogs and has had very little opportunity to experience the world outside that setting. Now that he has made it to Wisconsin, Llama has the chance to discover what life in a loving home is all about. He may be shy and unsure around new people, places, and experiences, so he will need a patient family willing to give him time to feel safe, build confidence, and warm up at his own pace. Llama may not immediately come out of his shell, but with gentle encouragement, consistency, and reassurance, he can begin learning that he is safe and loved. Watching him gain confidence and discover his personality will be a special experience for the family willing to give him that chance. Llama will also need help learning the basics of being a house dog. His potty training, crate training, and leash manners are unknown, so his new family should be prepared to teach him these skills with patience and positive reinforcement. Since he has spent his life around other dogs, having a friendly, confident canine companion may help him feel more comfortable as he adjusts to his new surroundings. Llama is looking for a loving forever home that understands some dogs need extra time to trust.
