About Cooperina

Cooperina Needs a Foster or Adopter to Secure Her Ride to Wisconsin Cooperina is part of an owner-surrender/hoarding situation in Mississippi where her owner currently has approximately 40 Pomeranian/Chihuahua mixes and can no longer care for them. Cooperina has spent her life in this overcrowded home and has never experienced life outside of that environment. She is scheduled to travel to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue on Saturday, 10/10 and needs a FOSTER or ADOPTER to make the trip. Meet Cooperina Cooperina is a sweet little girl who is ready for a fresh start and the chance to discover what life is like in a loving home. At just 1 year old, she has spent her life in an overcrowded environment with many other dogs and will have a lot of new experiences ahead of her. Cooperina is on the more shy side and will likely need some time to feel comfortable in her new surroundings. Everything about life outside of the overcrowded home she has known may be new and overwhelming at first. Her new family should be patient and understanding, allowing her to settle in at her own pace and giving her plenty of time to build confidence. Cooperina may not immediately come out of her shell, but with patience, consistency, and reassurance, we hope to see her become more comfortable and begin showing her sweet personality. She will need a family who understands that trust takes time and is willing to celebrate the little steps along the way. Cooperina will also need help adjusting to the basics of being a house dog. Potty training, crate training, and leash walking are unknown, so her foster or adopter should be prepared to patiently teach her these skills. She has lived with many other dogs and may benefit from having a friendly, confident dog around as she adjusts to her new life. Cooperina is looking for someone who will give her the time and patience she needs to feel safe. She may be a little nervous at first, but she deserves the opportunity to learn what it feels like to be loved, safe, and part of a family.
