About Eli

PROFESSIONAL TRAINER INCLUDED!! Eli is a beautiful purebred European Doberman, born May 2019 and spayed in 2024. She is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and very much a velcro dog - she just wants to be with her person, cuddle, and feel loved. She is crate trained, potty trained, knows basic commands, and does very well with a confident, consistent leader. She has no known health issues and is current on rabies (other routine vaccines will need to be updated). Eli has lived most of her life outdoors and has spent the past few months with us learning how wonderful life inside the home can be. She has adjusted so well and truly loves being part of a family. She gets along wonderfully with our small Jack Russell/Dachshund mix and has never had an issue with him. However, we want to be completely transparent that she has had a few incidents where she has attacked our Australian Cattle Dog, despite him not provoking her. We aren't sure what triggers her reaction toward him, and while she is incredibly sweet with people and does not display aggressive behavior, we want her future family to take this history seriously. We would prefer a home without other medium/large dogs, or someone experienced and willing to work carefully with our professional dog trainer. One of the biggest benefits of adopting Eli is that she comes with a lifetime professional training program through Bark Busters. Her training can be transferred to her new owner for a $300 transfer fee, giving you access to a dedicated trainer for the rest of her life. It includes weekly/biweekly in-home sessions depending on scheduling. We have used Bark Busters with two of our own dogs (and Eli) and have seen tremendous growth. Eli is already familiar with these trainers and has shown promising results. We are looking for someone who has patience with Eli, is willing to continue her training, and will work with her trainer to help integrate her into their life. We are located in Sacramento, CA and strongly prefer a local adoption. We are only fostering Eli because I will be relocating soon and my sister's career makes it difficult to manage a dog full-time. We love this girl tremendously and want to find her the person she has never truly had - someone who will make her part of their family and give her the love and companionship she deserves.
