Meet George (A284244) - A Sweet Senior Looking for His Retirement Home! George is a 12-year-old, 70-pound neutered male who recently lost the only home he's known for the past 8 years. His owner had to move into a memory care facility, leaving this sweet old man without his family. I recently spent time with George, and he is such a gentle, mellow sweetheart. He walks slowly on leash, loves treats, takes them gently, and has the cutest little nub tail! George has some hip issues and is a little hard of hearing, but he still has so much love to give. According to his previous owner, George is house trained, kennel trained, non-destructive, and good with children, dogs, and cats. He has not had a formal dog evaluation at the shelter, so a meet-and-greet is recommended if you have another dog. George deserves to spend his remaining golden years in a loving home, not a shelter kennel. He just needs a soft bed, gentle walks, and someone to love him.
