Looking to rehome my heart has my health condition is preventing me from fully taking care of her Bella: A Sweet, Loyal Companion Looking for Her Next Best Friend Name: Bella Age: 12 years old (Born August 8, 2014) Breed: Purebred Chihuahua Color: Tan and White About Bella: Bella is a deeply loved, incredibly sweet, and friendly little girl who is looking for a gentle retirement home. She is currently going through a sad transition because her owner is facing a serious health condition. Bella is a very intuitive dog-she senses the changes around her and is feeling a bit down right now, but she has so much love left to give. She deserves to spend the rest of her golden years feeling safe, happy, and entirely content. Her Perfect Home: * Veterinary Care is a Must: Bella's absolute top requirement is a family that will guarantee she goes to the vet whenever she needs it. She has been seeing Dr. Hawkinson at Harris Pet Animal Hospital in Paddock Lake since she was a puppy. Dr. Hawkinson knows her inside and out, can vouch for what a good dog she is, and is available to speak with serious adopters. * The Kids: Bella is incredibly gentle and will never bite, but she gets very tense and 'frigid' around small, unpredictable children. Because of this, she needs a home with adults or older, respectful children (ages 8-10 and up) who understand how to handle a tiny dog gently. * Other Pets: Bella would thrive best as an only dog so she can get all your attention. However, if you have another very small, calm dog, she might adapt if given a patient, slow introduction. She should absolutely not be around big dogs who could accidentally hurt her. * Daily Routine: Bella loves soaking up the sunshine outside during the day, but she is strictly an indoor girl at night! She walks beautifully on a leash. Health & Diet: * Tiny Legs: Like many Chihuahuas her age, Bella has a minor back leg issue that Dr. Hawkinson has noted. She is not wobbling, walks beautifully, and is in good health, but her new family just needs to be mindful of her legs (e.g., using pet stairs for the couch or bed). * Meals & Treats: Bella has a bit of a sweet tooth for people food, but she is currently eating high-quality Carna4 Fish flavor dog food. At 12 years old, getting her proper canine nutrients is very important, so her new family should gently keep her on her dog food routine. Her owner will happily supply a full list of her favorite treats! Bella is a wonderful cuddler, a loyal companion, and a true sweetheart who just wants to feel secure again. If you can promise to protect her health and give her a warm lap to sleep on, she will give you her whole heart. I don't want to really rehome her but I don't have a choice what the health condition that I'm going through I can no longer take care of her it hurts me with all of myself so I'm trying to find somebody that yeah if she doesn't need to go to the vet they have the money. I don't want to rehome her to somebody that isn't going to love and take care of her as much as I have. So if there's anybody out there with a big heart like mine please let me know
