About Zadok

This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only. Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. Hello my name is Zadok. I am a purebred German Shepherd. I was the product of a breeder who had approximately 45 other German shepherds in a small fenced in area in the middle of town. I escaped the fenced in yard to get away from everything. I roamed around loose the town of South Pittsburgh, Tennessee for three months. I turned over garbage cans to get food and crossed highways to go to find food and several people were trying to catch me so I would not get hurt and I would get vet care. I did have an injury to my right front. What you would call ankle joint, but it was broken and has healed. There is somewhat of a little swelling left but the vet said that it would go down. It would just take time and I can walk on my foot just fine. I was eventually caught and a very nice man took me home and I have done real well at his house and bonded to him. He has other dogs and couple cats but I get along with all of them just fine. I need to find a full-time permanent home where I can be with a family and have some training and a lot of love to show that I am a wonderful dog. Being on my own for three months, I did not have human contact. A little training in that area would be very helpful for me. I am a very sweet dog and would just love to have a person who would take care of me and love me.
