MEET BENNY - THIS SWEET BOY DESERVES A FOREVER HOME! ��%90%BE Meet Benny, a 4-5-year-old Lab mix with the sweetest soul. �%9D%A4��%8F His foster mom and dad tell us he is truly the sweetest boy and such a joy to have around. Benny loves car rides, his foster siblings, and finding a soft couch where he can stretch out and relax. He's the kind of boy who just wants to be loved and enjoy life. Benny was rescued just in time from being euthanized at the Carthage Panola Pound in Carthage, Texas. While at the pound, we noticed that Benny had a limp. His foster family took him to Marshall Animal Hospital for X-rays, and what we discovered broke our hearts. At some point in his life, Benny had been shot and never received treatment for his injuries. The X-rays showed shrapnel and pellets still inside his body. Unfortunately, because the injury was never treated when it happened and because of where the pellets are located, surgery is now considered too risky. The good news is that Benny is not believed to be in pain. �%9D%A4��%8F He does compensate for his old injury, though, and his veterinarian believes he will likely develop arthritis as he gets older. But please - don't let his past or his injury keep Benny from having a family of his own. He deserves to know what it feels like to be safe, loved, spoiled, and cherished. Benny has already survived so much. Now he needs someone who will look past his limp and see the incredibly sweet boy underneath it all. ��%90%BE�%9D%A4��%8F Benny is looking for a forever family who will give him the soft couch, the car rides, the love, and the happily-ever-after he deserves.
