About Dutchie

Dutchie is a 9.5 year old cattle dog mix who is an absolutely wonderful dog and is deeply loved by his family. Unfortunately, this year has brought some unexpected and difficult changes, and they have had to make the heartbreaking decision to let him go. Dutchie is incredibly sweet and affectionate. He loves having his ears scratched and spending the day snoozing in his favorite spot under the bed. But don't let that relaxed side fool you! He still has energy and loves walks, playing catch in the backyard, and being part of the family. His favorite foods include cheese sticks, salmon and roasted sweet potatoes. He has been wonderful with children of all ages, from infants to 18-year-olds. Dutchie is loving, playful, loyal, and happiest when he's surrounded by his people. One thing his new family should know is that he can be around cats but really he prefers they stay out of his personal space. He has never snapped at or bitten a cat but he will let them know with a sharp bark if they've overstayed their welcome. Dutchie is truly a special boy who has so much love left to give and will make an amazing companion for the family lucky enough to bring him home.
