About Miso

I'd use this: Meet Miso, a 35-pound professional cuddle bug looking for her person! Miso is an approximately 1-2-year-old female who came to Shiba Saviors after being picked up as a stray by Animal Control. Her Embark results finally solved our mystery: she is 50.3% Siberian Husky, 29.1% Golden Retriever, 10.3% German Shepherd Dog, and 10.3% Supermutt. Whatever combination created her, it created one extraordinarily loving little dog. Miso absolutely LOVES people. She loves kisses, belly rubs, cuddling, and simply being close to someone. She gets genuinely excited when you come into the room and has been known to launch herself from several feet away just to land beside you already in cuddle position. But she isn't constantly demanding attention. Once she knows her person is nearby, Miso settles beautifully. She is perfectly happy curling up beside you while you work from home, watch TV, game, read, or relax. She seems to want companionship more than entertainment. Miso is house trained, crate trained, excellent on leash, and already knows sit and paw. She may cry or howl for a little while when left alone, but she does settle. She can also chew when unsupervised, so she needs a secure, durable crate when nobody is home. We are still evaluating Miso with other animals. She has been calm and non-reactive around dogs on leash and at the veterinary office, but our large resident pack has been intimidating for her. Her compatibility with cats and small animals is currently unknown. Miso is currently living separately from our resident dogs while we continue evaluating her, and we would LOVE to find her permanent home as soon as possible. This incredibly people-oriented girl deserves to have people of her own. If you want a dog who genuinely wants to share your life, curl up beside you, follow the rhythm of your day, and make absolutely certain you never suffer from a shortage of affection, please consider Miso. She came into rescue as a thin stray whose family never came for her. Somehow, she still seems completely convinced that people are wonderful.
