Are you looking for a dog who is pure kindness and nothing but love? Meet Carly! Carly is a 7-8 year old foxhound who weighs about 65 pounds. Life hasn't been easy for Carly! She survived being lost and found with a maggot infested wound. She survived being in a loud, busy, over-crowded shelter for months and now, she's ready to find the stability of a forever home! Carly is a kind and somewhat timid dog who enjoys a quiet home. She is good with other dogs but prefers the laid back over the very playful. She seems to be good with the cat in her foster home and is reliably house trained. Carly enjoys relaxing on the couch or her dog bed. She has just started to play in her foster home and that's taken a few weeks. She is looking for a calm, stable, loving home who will give her time to adjust and buy her canned food. Yep, we've got her a bit spoiled and she sure does deserve it! If you are ready to give Carly her happily ever after....we sure would love to hear from you! Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3 charitable rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, Va. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
